Somos Ricos y Famosas! Nancys Rubias!!

Um, OMF'ing G!! New York Dolls meets Fangoria (the group from Madrid) and I'm in love! I'm totally creaming over this band that sings about painting their faces with makeup and being famous rockstars. These lovely dolls are from Madrid, Spain and their news letter showed up in my email this morning but I'm not sure how. You gotta check out their songs "Nancys Rubias" and "Salvame", they are super guay!! "Nancys Rubias website"

POWER POP band, Panico from Chile!
Image hosted by Photobucket.com Think of early Sugarcubes with a twist of New Wave, techno-y, Power pop, and a mix of Spanish and English lyrics. Their album, "Subliminal Kill," was introduced to me by a friend who saw them in London last week and she said I had to hear it! Some key tracks include: Telephone Dilemma # 10, Transpira Lo #2, Anfefetaminado #5, Santiago Song #8. Panico is on the French record label Tiger Sushi, go figure. Check out their site Panico

"FANGORIA" COMING TO CHICAGO, USA!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com YES! It's true! Fangoria, electro-pop group from Madrid, is coming to Chicago to perform at Metro on October 15th! The show is hosted by a local indepedent latin radio station, "Radio Arte". The flaming red haired diva in the group is non other than the famous, Alaska. Originally from Mexico, "Alaska" has been a huge icon in the Spanish music industry pertaining to punk rock and experiemental. In the 80's she sorta looked like Cyndi Lauper no?

The legendary Los Rockin Devil's band has existed for almost 40 years, sprouting from the early days of the Mexican rock revolution. They are so much fun and you just gotta hear their Bule, Bule Cover!
